Elopements on Halloween just hit differently, especially if you get to photograph an elopement on Halloween in a location like the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, New York!
I was so excited when Moe + Brett asked me to photograph their celebration in Sleepy Hollow. It gave me a chance to return to such a beautiful spot, and I knew photographing an elopement there on Halloween was going to be an unforgettable experience.
My assumptions were absolutely correct because this day was aces from start to finish!
We started with getting ready photos at the Tarrytown House Estate in nearby Tarrytown, New York before going to the beautiful Sleepy Hollow cemetery for the ceremony and many many pictures afterwards. Fall was in full effect in the Hudson Valley, and the colors mixed with the golden hour sun just made things look magical!
Moe + Brett’s attire was also off the charts in terms of mood and aesthetic for a Halloween elopement. It all blended in perfectly with the old stone masoeluems and memorials at the cemetery.
The day ended with a super fun “reception” at the nearby Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. It was a blast getting to photograph Moe + Brett amongst all the amazing pumpkin arts and displays.
I definitely won’t be forgetting this experience!
